LONESYTE - ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY (AUP)

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes rules and standards for sellers, creators, and tutors (“Sellers”) using the Lonesyte platform.

1. Prohibited Activities

Sellers may not:

  • Provide fraudulent or misleading information.
  • Sell illegal, unsafe, counterfeit, or infringing content.
  • Engage in harassment, hate speech, or culturally harmful content.
  • Provide medical, legal, or immigration advice without valid licenses.
  • Upload viruses, malicious code, or attempt to hack the platform.
  • Use Lonesyte for activities that violate PayPal AUP or local laws.

2. Cultural Integrity Standards

Sellers must:

  • Accurately represent cultural knowledge and language expertise.
  • Avoid misinformation about indigenous groups or cultural practices.
  • Respect community norms and avoid exploitation or harm.

3. Violations

Lonesyte may suspend, limit, or permanently remove any seller who violates this AUP. Serious violations will be reported to PayPal and to law enforcement if required.

LONESYTE - REFUND POLICY

Lonesyte facilitates transactions between buyers and independent sellers. Each seller is responsible for delivering the service or product purchased.

Refunds

Refunds are permitted when:

  • A lesson or digital service was not delivered.
  • The product received differs significantly from the description.
  • There is verified technical failure preventing service delivery.

Refunds are processed through PayPal. Lonesyte may assist by reviewing evidence but does not guarantee outcomes.

Cancellations

Buyers may cancel lessons or digital service bookings up to 24 hours before the scheduled time unless otherwise specified by the seller.

Non-Refundable Items

  • Completed lessons
  • Delivered digital content
  • Downloaded materials

LONESYTE - DISPUTE PROCESS

Step 1 - Buyer Submits a Dispute

User submits a dispute through Lonesyte’s Support Portal or PayPal’s Resolution Center.

Step 2 - Lonesyte Internal Review

Lonesyte examines:

  • Chat history
  • Service proof
  • Delivery confirmation
  • Seller profile and past behavior

Step 3 - Seller Response

Seller has 48 hours to provide:

  • Proof of service
  • Explanation of issue
  • Additional evidence

Step 4 - Lonesyte Decision

We will:

  • Recommend refund
  • Suggest partial refund
  • Or close the case with no action

Step 5 - If Unresolved

The dispute is escalated to PayPal. PayPal’s determination is final.

LONESYTE - INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY REPORT FORM

To report infringement, provide the following:

  1. Your full legal name
  2. Contact email
  3. Proof of ownership of the copyrighted or trademarked material
  4. URL(s) of the infringing content
  5. Description of the violation
  6. A statement confirming:

    I believe in good faith that the material described above violates my intellectual property rights.

  7. Your digital signature

Process

  • Lonesyte reviews within 24–48 hours
  • Infringing content is temporarily removed
  • Seller must provide proof of rights
  • Permanent removal occurs if proof is insufficient
  • Repeat offenders are permanently banned

LONESYTE - SELLER ONBOARDING GUIDELINES

To maintain trust, cultural accuracy, and platform quality, all sellers must complete the onboarding process:

1. Identity Verification

  • Government-issued ID
  • Profile photo
  • Language or cultural expertise declaration

2. Profile Requirements

  • Clear biography
  • Accurate country and region
  • Service description
  • Pricing details
  • Sample lesson or sample content where applicable

3. Cultural Integrity Standards

Sellers must:

  • Teach accurate cultural knowledge
  • Avoid generalizations, stereotypes, or misinformation
  • Respect the community they represent

4. Payment Setup

Sellers must:

  • Add PayPal Business or Verified PayPal account
  • Accept platform fees and payout schedule

5. Compliance Requirements

Sellers must agree to:

  • Lonesyte AUP
  • Refund Policy
  • IP Policy
  • PayPal’s AUP

6. Ongoing Quality Monitoring

  • Ratings and reviews
  • Completion rates
  • Cancellations
  • Repeated disputes
  • Content accuracy checks

Failure to meet standards may result in account suspension or removal.
